A38 Bulletin Week Commencing 26th August 2024

Until the end of November, we’ll be carrying out maintenance work at the A38/A50 Toyota Island. This work is to the repaint sections of the bridge, which runs over the A38 on the A50 Toyota Island, and is essential to protect and prevent rusting to the existing structure. This work will be completed under a combination of 24/7 lane closures and overnight full carriageway closures as follows: 24/7 lane closures
- Until 6 September, A38 northbound lane 2 closed, 24/7.
- 9 September to 29 November, A38 southbound lane 2 closed, 24/7.
During closures, a small diversion will be installed over Toyota Island using the exit and entry slips. For the duration of the works, 50mph restrictions will be in place.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
that two casual vacancies have arisen in the Office of Councillor for the Parish Council.
If by 6 September 2024 (14 days after the date of this notice) a request for an election to fill said
vacancies is made in writing to the Returning Officer at the address below by TEN electors for the
said Parish, an election will be held to fill the said vacancies, otherwise the vacancies will be filled
by co-option.
If an election is called, it will take place not later than 7 November 2024.

Hello and welcome to our weekly A38 Traffic Management Bulletin.
A38/A50 Toyota Island essential maintenance
We’ll be continuing with our bridge maintenance work at the A38/A50 Toyota Island. This work is to the repaint sections of the bridge, which runs over the A38 on the A50 Toyota Island, and is essential to protect and prevent rusting to the existing structure. This work will be completed under a combination of 24/7 lane closures and overnight full carriageway closures.
A38 Swinfen Interchange roundabout closure
On the nights of Monday 19 August, Tuesday 20 August, Wednesday 21 August and Thursday 22 August, between 9pm and 6am, we’ll have full closures of the Swinfen Interchange roundabout, in all directions, while we carry out resurfacing and drainage works.
