Proposed Weight Restriction

As you are aware there is significant building work taking place in the neighbouring parish of Tatenhill with the development of a new school and housing in the Lawns Farm area.

Dunstall PC and Tatenhill and Rangemore PC have been working with Staffs County Council to mitigate the impact of the development on surrounding areas.

In this respect Staffs County Highways have proposed a 7.5 tonne weight restriction on several roads leading from the A38 to the A515, in order to restrict any additional HGV’s that are using the area.  We understand that this proposal does not impact local businesses who have vehicles over 7.5 tonnes in weight that need to access the area but we are seeking clarification on this point.

We will update this post when we have more information regarding the times lines to implement this change.
